Trash Transfer Facility
news for downtown! The
City has won its case which means that a Trash Transfer
facility is
not an authorized use under a section of the city’s
zoning ordinance. See
two recent Pawtucket Times articles that explain the Federal
and State court cases
regarding this important downtown issue.
Buy a Brick! Help the Train Station area! The
Pawtucket Citizens Development Corporation (PCDC), a
non-profit community
developer working to revitalize the Barton Street Neighborhood,
is seeking donations for their new tot lot on Barton
Street across Broad Street from the train station. This
great neighborhood
amenity will provide a safe and beautiful outdoor area
for children and parents. To buy a brick for $100 or
donate any amount, contact Felicia Delgado at 726-1173 or
PCDC
at 210 West Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
Pawtucket Cleans up! Come join the Earth Day Clean up
Saturday April 26th at 9 AM in the Tolman High School parking
lot. Please bring gloves, rakes and other heavy gardening
materials as we will be cleaning out this area by the river.
